Website and contact

This website presents public information about OBD KRD and has no account sign-in or vehicle-data upload form. Contact links open your email app. Messages and attachments you choose to send are handled by your email provider and the support inbox. Do not send passwords, verification codes or payment information.

What data is used?

Depending on the features used and your vehicle’s support, the app may read or store:

  • Vehicle information, VIN and mileage, when available.
  • Fault codes and sensor readings.
  • Service records, dates, mileage and reminders.
  • Product names and types, and photos you add.
  • Language, units and app settings.
  • Information you send in a problem report or support message.

Why is data used?

Data is used to provide selected features, display vehicle information, manage service records and reminders, and review problem reports.

Account and cloud backup

Accounts use Firebase Authentication. You can sign in with a username or email and password, with Google, or with a verified mobile number. A private server resolves usernames. Profile information includes your full name, username, contact mobile number, email when available, terms agreement and optional account photo. A contact number alone does not enable phone sign-in: it must be verified and linked to the same account. Accounts are not merged just because their contact numbers match.

Phone verification uses a six-digit SMS code sent after you request it; SMS charges may apply. Email verification and email password recovery use an eight-digit, single-use code that expires after 10 minutes. Phone sign-in gives access to the account linked to that verified number; it does not change the password used for email sign-in. Email and SMS delivery depend on the configured providers and network. The app protects saved session credentials and does not save your password.

Your account ID links saved vehicles, service records, saved mileage, photos and preferences to your private Firebase cloud backup. Live Bluetooth readings and connection logs are not uploaded as part of this backup. Information or attachments you choose to send in a support report are sent separately. Existing phone records are imported only after your review and agreement. Signing out returns to separate local records; unsynced changes remain in that account's private storage on the phone. Another phone can restore successfully uploaded data. Review differences when two devices edit the same value.

The latest backup, earlier backup revisions and uploaded photos are stored in the cloud. Removing a record and syncing changes the latest backup; earlier revisions and older photos can remain until the account's scheduled cloud-data deletion. My Account shows your profile and optional photo; Backup uploads your records.

If you use Experience, your posted questions, replies, display name and vehicle details are stored and shared with other app users. Your phone number is included in a post only when you explicitly choose to share it. Notification preferences, device notification identifiers, blocks and reports support that feature. You can control its notifications and disable Experience in its settings.

Account deletion requires confirmation, a reason of up to 1,000 characters and a recent sign-in; password accounts also require their password. After the server accepts the request, cloud access stops and this phone signs out and removes that account's local records. Email, username and mobile identities are reserved for 25 days and then become eligible for release by the scheduled maintenance task. Reusing them creates a new account ID without access to the old data. Remaining account cloud data, including photos, backups, earlier revisions, Experience data and the deletion reason, is scheduled for permanent cleanup after 30 days. The maintenance task runs every 60 minutes and retries failures, so cleanup may take longer during an outage. An offline phone cannot be erased remotely; it loses cloud access when it reconnects. Provider logs and backups follow the provider's retention policy.

Only one phone can use your account's cloud session at a time. A newer sign-in stops the old session from accessing cloud data. The old app returns to sign-in when it checks online; its unsynced private records remain on that phone. Offline or closed apps apply the check after reconnecting or reopening.

Permissions

  • Bluetooth and nearby devices: to connect to the diagnostic adapter.
  • Notifications: for service reminders.
  • Camera or photo selection: to add photos when the feature is available.

You can manage permissions in phone settings. Denying a permission may limit the related feature.
